Midwifery Nursing


Midwifery practice is “the impartial management of women’s health care, focusing mainly on pregnancy, childbirth, the postpartum period, care of the new child and the family planning and gynecological needs of women.” They apply knowledge, competencies and skills in primary care, the preconception period, the perimenopausal/postmenopausal periods, the antepartum/intrapartum duration and the period following pregnancy. Evaluate the need for instantaneous intervention and/or consultation, collaborative management, or referral with distinguished health care group individuals as dictated by the condition of the woman, fetus, or newborn. They are in partnership with the woman, developing a complete layout of care that is supported by way of a legitimate rationale, primarily based on precise interpretation of the subjective and objective records and consists of therapeutics as indicated.
